Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Responsible for the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment
• Maintain pumps, reactors, agitators, compressors, heat exchangers, and utilities
• Ensure proper installation, alignment, and commissioning of machinery
• Reduce equipment downtime through effective maintenance planning
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams
• Maintain maintenance records, logbooks, and documentation
• Supervise mechanical contractors and external service providers
• Ensure compliance with safety norms and statutory requirements
• Support plant shutdown, overhauling, and modification activities

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing or process industry
• Experience in chemical plant operations will be preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems
• Hands-on experience in rotating equipment and utilities
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in shifts, if required

• Awareness of plant safety procedures
• Good communication and coordination skills
