Mechanical Engineer
About the Role
Responsible for the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment
- Maintain pumps, reactors, agitators, compressors, heat exchangers, and utilities
- Ensure proper installation, alignment, and commissioning of machinery
- Reduce equipment downtime through effective maintenance planning
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams
- Maintain maintenance records, logbooks, and documentation
- Supervise mechanical contractors and external service providers
- Ensure compliance with safety norms and statutory requirements
- Support plant shutdown, overhauling, and modification activities
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing or process industry
- Experience in chemical plant operations will be preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems
- Hands-on experience in rotating equipment and utilities
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in shifts, if required

- Awareness of plant safety procedures
- Good communication and coordination skills
